Recipe links you choose to save inside the App.

No personal login, no user accounts with credentials, and no required registration is necessary to use Cooksy.

Automatically Collected Data

We do not track or store personal information, sign-in identities, or unique device identifiers.

We may collect non-identifying, anonymous analytics data such as:

Number of recipe imports

Non-personal usage trends (to improve the app)

Third-Party / SDK Usage

Currently, the App does not use any third-party SDKs, except for the OpenAI API used for recipe processing.

No analytics, advertising, or external tracking tools are implemented.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use only the minimal data needed to provide the App’s core functionality:

Saving recipe links that you personally choose to store.

Converting recipe content via the OpenAI API (used only to process recipe content — not for user tracking).

We will not sell or share any data for profit.

4. Legal Basis & Consent

Because Cooksy does NOT collect personal data (login, email, phone numbers, unique identifiers), there is almost no personal “processing” to regulate.

Where any optional input is provided (e.g., a recipe link you save), that is stored only to support the chosen Service features.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We may share data only in these limited scenarios:

To process recipe content with the OpenAI API (processing input text for your recipe conversion).

If required by law or to respond to legal requests.

We DO NOT provide, advertise, or share user info with partners or advertisers.

6. Data Storage & Retention

Your saved recipe data is stored locally within your device’s storage (e.g., SwiftData) and is not transferred or stored on remote servers, except when sending text to the OpenAI API for processing.

The OpenAI API processes text temporarily for conversion and does not retain your link or detailed personal metadata.

All stored data remains under your control.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You retain total control of your stored recipes.

You may:

View, update, or delete any saved link or recipe content.

Delete the app entirely to remove all stored local data.

8. Children’s Privacy

Cooksy is not intended for children under 13 years old.

We do not collect personal information from children under this age.

If you believe a child under this age has provided personal information, contact us, and we will remove it.

9. Security Measures

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data:

Recipes are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

Your personal data is never sent to our servers.

Only the parts you request (text for recipe conversion) are processed by the OpenAI API.

No sensitive credentials or personal identifiers are stored or shared.

10. Cookies & Tracking

Cooksy is a mobile app and does not use cookie tracking.

We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

If you disable any optional data submission, certain App features may not work properly.
